Mriya Resort & Spa is a 5-star hotel in Crimea. It is a separate world of sea vacation. The resort’s beach represents 300 meters of massage pebbles and clear blue sea. The seafront consists of two levels with different infrastructure - massage rooms, fitness zones, surf club, restaurants, bars, children's center. The design of the buildings is made of architectural plaster and concrete in a futuristic style.
For this project we manufactured and installed wayfinding totems and signs of architectural concrete.
Minding the climate – direct sunlight, the sand carrying wind in the summer and humid sea air in the winter – we selected an ultra-resistant architectural concrete that can withstand extreme weather conditions. White and gray concrete with the addition of marble chips was chosen.
As the walls of the beach area’s buildings are hollow inside, we used chemical anchors to fix the signboards.
The information was applied by stencil method, then the construction was fully covered with two-component polyurethane varnish, which protects the applied graphics from mechanical damage and burnout. Particular attention should be paid to the accent elements of natural brass which are integrated into the concrete; these elements are present on the map of the territory. The direction signs are also made of brass.
An individual casting mold was made for each piece. After casting all products were vibrated, then a long process of grinding and bringing the molds to the required values took place. The main challenge was the protruding concrete elements - they were cast separately and then integrated into the structures.
The weight of the structures ranged from 150 to 600 kg, the installation was carried out with the help of special equipment, taking into account the density of buildings and landscaping in the places of installation. The work was carried out with the utmost care and attention to the installed facilities.
To achieve maximum structural rigidity and increase the life of the products we used d24 rebars. Wayfinding totems were installed on our pre-prepared reinforced concrete bases.
